Steve attended Fremont High School and played collegiate baseball at Fresno State University.
Although the Cleveland Indians drafted him in the 1986 draft, he chose not to sign with the team.
The San Francisco Giants selected him in the 1989 draft, and he played two seasons for the Giants.
The right fielder played in 24 games, hitting one home run and driving in 7 RBIs for the Giants.
After playing in the MLB, Steve changed his career path and moved to the real estate business.
Moreover, he was the director of the Family-School Partnerships for Family Leadership for over six years.
Currently, he is the executive director at Christian Business Men’s Connection Fresno.

Jamal played for the varsity basketball team from 1982 to 1985, averaging 9 points per game in 88 games.
